PixLive: Augmented Reality on iPhone!

This post intends to inform you about a new application called PixLive, which allows you to give ‘life’ to objects or other things around you, using augmented reality. It actually offers you a way to create your own augmented reality on objects you have around you, directly on your iPhone (or iPod Touch with camera). You can then share your creations through social networks and people can actually download what youhave done and see your augmented reality themselves.

xGPS Manager update

Just a quick post to inform everyone that an update for xGPS Manager has been released, and can be found on the xGPS Official website(http://xgps.xwaves.net/index.php/Downloads). This updates fixes the gray map problem that many users have been experiencing.

xGPS Manager is now Open Source! The source code of the latest version of xGPS Manager (1.1.5) is now available on xGPS website. Please note that this source code is being distributed under the GNU GPL v.3 license (available here http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html). You must accept the terms of the license before downloading the sources.

If you want to make any improvement to xGPS Manager, feel free to post them in the forums so we can integrate them in future versions of xGPS Manager. Thanks!

xGPS Logo Contest

First, no the project is not dead . There were Christmas time, then New Year, then the beginning of the new year etc… All these events have unfortunately stopped us temporarily to develop xGPS. We are gently starting again to improve xGPS to be able to release a new version by February.

For now we are searching for a beautiful, simple, gorgeous logo for xGPS. As this project become big we need a logo. It will not replace the current xGPS icon but it will be the xGPS logo displayed everywhere (website, documentation etc…). So we are searching for talented people who can create such a logo. We don’t have any special requirement excepting the fact that the size of the logo should be big enough in order to be used everywhere and resized.

We are searching for a person which has good skills in web site design. We want to make a clear and nice official web site for the xGPS software containing documentation. So we are searching for someone which can propose to us a skeleton of a possible design for the xGPS software web site. Don’t hesitate to contact us on this page to propose your ideas.

About the new GPS we will sold, more information will be available shortly and the orders will then be first opened for the people which have been registered using the form proposed some days ago. As you would have thought, the sold GPS will be the iGPS360 produced by Orange Gadgets.

Again we are waiting for your proposition for a web site design for the xGPS Software!

We have finally re-opened our store in order to buy xGPS License number to use with the iGPSD cable. We are very sorry for the problems we had. Now it is fully working and you can buy your license numbers from our store:

We have also released a small bug fix version of xGPS which correct the license input problem some of you have encountered and add the Hebrew language to the program.

xGPS Module User manual

We have posted a new page describing how to use the xGPS Module. Before trying anything please read this page completly. The manual is available here:

If you are still in trouble to get your xGPS Module working, please contact us directly using this page.

The xGPS software (named xGPS 1.0p1) currently available in our Installer v3 (for firmware 1.x) repository is not compatible with the xGPS Module. A new alpha version of this software will be available on Monday 2nd September. Please note that this version will be available only to firmware 2.0 (or greater) users. So if you have not yet upgraded your iPhone or iPod Touch, consider to do it now.
