A lot of people have been disappointed while discovering that the new version of xGPS seems to freeze with some of the supported GPS. We have worked hard to try to correct that bug as fast as possible and we hope to have fixed it. You will find shortly in Cydia a new version numbered 1.2.6 containing this bug fix plus a new spanish translation.

First of iwould like to say how I admire your work and the ongoing effort with xgps. Personal I think the app iscracking however I am never able to the app as the gps signal and update freq are never sufficient. At first I thought this maybe due to my locality or phone. However other apps google and various other gps based apps get strong and freq udating location info. As I rarely get good signal from the app and when I do it’s so far behind it’s unusable.
Please understand I think the app is awesome and ur efforts are amazing I’m not sure if I’m the only person with these issues but I’m sure u guys wil take the comments onboard to improve the app in future releases.

Just for some feedback— I’m using the “iGPS360″ and my signal strength is strong, I even get signal from inside my house where my TomTom can’t…

I downloaded version 1.2.5. on my iPhone 3g. I cannot seem to open the application. I also just downloaded version 1.2.6 with still the same result. The application says loading and then the screen goes back to the springboard

I found how to record an itinerary, but not only a place… Which would be useful to quickly set a “GOTO” to this point…

During the route it freezes when it’s gives the voice commands. Also the voice commands don’t always work. Is it a way to go back to 1.2 till all the bugs are worked out. 1.2 worked great for me but this one???
Same problem her, both 1.2.5 and 1.2.6 crash immediately. I reinstalled, and I get the “MD5Sum mismatch” error note. Tried to install through WinScp using xGPS-1.2.6.deb or xGPS-1.2.5.deb – installation went OK, the result is the same – CRASH!

Is there a backup version that can be put back for people to use. Bugs are normal but at least put an older working version up so we can use for now.

We are aware of the crashing problem but we are unable to reproduce it so it is really difficult to fix the problem. Work is on the way..

voice volume is still problamatic. I can’t hear the directions when iPod works. raising voice volume would also raise iPod volume. I think this is the biggest issue with this app.
when using the iPod the volume don’t come through and changing the music will cause the entire program to freeze up, causing you to have to do a hard reset of the iPhone. I’m useing the iPhone 2g. Please give me 1.2 till the bugs can be worked out.
Hello again…let me say that there is a slight improvement in the new version 1.2.6 the signal is detected very fast…but the only anoying thing is the speed meter whcih jump up and down and is not detecting the actual speed…and ofcourse the useles Google maps which is not showing any details in my country…so will keep saying this again and again ( USE ANOTHER MAPS PLZ)…just study the functionality of the other softwares like TomTom, Sygic,IGO….etc i used these softwares on my pocketpc and it is working perfect

I have noticed that we downloading a map it never really downloads all of the tiles. Specificly the level 0 (the ones I usually need).. It is a consistent bug. Making the download map function unusuable for me.

Secondly, please allow us to drop pins on the map and not just from the “place search” but a tap on a point. It would be good if you had a button on “home address” to “use current GPS coordinates” because mine refuses to accept and properly plot my address.
Finally, where do these place search results come from? I see random stuff that looks like some random person typed in, like: “my home in so-in-so city”.
I really need the ability to plot way points.
BTW, does anyone else find that it almost always says “cannot create directions” or something like that when you hit “compute”?? Probably because I live in Asia.
