Due to the recent changes in Google Maps, we have to also release a bug fix version of xGPS Maps manager. Nothing else has changed.
The version 1.1 of xGPS was initially scheduled to be released on the 30th November. However due to the large amount of work there is still to do, we are obliged to postpone the release to, at least, next week (6th December). In this version turn-by-turn directions will be more or less available.
xGPS Maps manager can be downloaded here: xGPS Maps Manager-3
What is the latest version should I download?
http://xgps.xwaves.net/wp-content/uploads/xgpsmanager-2.jar
or
http://xgps.xwaves.net/wp-content/uploads/xgpsmanager1.jar
there is no “xGPS Maps Manager-3″ version?
Please check your link for actual version release.
Version xgpsmanager-2.jar could upload the map data to iphone.
Where as, xgpsmanager1.jar [ what you say is "xGPS Maps Manager-3" ] has no upload feature.
I tried download a map and upload to IPHONE by using WINSCP but there is no map appear ?
[...] 在電腦上,可以用xGPS Maps Manager來下載,Mac and PC with Java [...]

I think,
xGPS Maps Manager needs a new, possibily beautiful icon. I have a question…. why Java? What about a good cocoa application?
…..it still can’t download the map. when i try to download hokkaido’s map, it was error many many times
Hi,
I’m getting an error when downloading big maps (2Go) with xgps manager (downloaded on top of this page) :
“Some errors have occured during the download. Some part of the map may have not been correctly downloaded !”
Do someone has the same behavior?
Please help.
Thanks
Oups, I forgot,
is it an open source project? In this case, where can I have Java sources?
Thanks,
Seb
How download XGPS Maps Manager with windows. I have a folder .Jar and no. exe. I can’t to read it.
You have to open it with javaw.exe that you can find in the JRE install directory/bin. By default: “C:\Program Files\Java”
You need to have Java installed.
When i download the maps on my computer, wher should i put them on my iphone?
Thanks!
i got error 404 when i pres the link? :S
Fixed.
i select an area on XGPS Map Manager , installed on windows XP and when i click on “Download selected map region” Nothing happens
what should i do?
Thanks
Hey, would love to use xgps on my ipod touch, so where can i buy a xgps module from for my touch?
Well the map for my country on levels 2,3,4,7 are 800MB about. That’s not to bad, but probably not all that detailed. Slovenia needs to be more detailed
Btw it downloads really really slow. It just stops every couple of minutes for a break, then continues :\
Is it possible to plot the route I want to go on on my Mac, then upload it to the iPhone? i.e. I don’t need to find out how to get from A to B, I already know where B is, but I want to force the GPS to take me via a particular (e.g. scenic) route that I want rather than what it wants.
Cheers!
Great app!!! This is just what I needed, as my tomtom was stollen. Sure it’s a little irritating with the map sizes, but well worth the payoff! Can’t thank you enough and a donation is on the way!
I cannot download the maps with xGPS manager on my window vista at all. I have Java installed. After I selected the regions, everytime I click on download maps it would give me an error message about Java. Can someone help me please. my email is uyenai@yahoo.com
Hey, awesome app! I’m trying to use the map manager right now but every time I go to download a map, I’m greeted with a gray screen with no maps.
This happens on both the v1.0 suite and the standalone .jar posted above.
i have the same problem. anybody got any idea?
i cannot download on my mac and one PC BUT works fine on another PC and iphone. Don’t know why (maybe caused by the java version and setting?).
I suggest to try different machines.
It’s a network problem. Your network firewall may block access from xgps.
Have You any plans to convert the xGPS program to newer OS than 2.1
Best regards Jørgen Ib
