Hi Guys, love what you have do so far, i even managed to get basic positioning updating about every .5 mile using the 3g gps option on my 2g phone!!! I'm more than happy to guy one of the plug in 1360gps units but before I do, when do you think it would be possible to plan a route? I've not managed to do that yet, i don't think it's supported. Since the standard apple maps app retains the route i'd be more than happy to plan the route in their then switch to xgps. Thanks again for your work, i've been watching various threads and you guys seem to have achieved more than anyone. I guess the big challenge is the falling price of stand alone gps units, it's making $75 look a bit steep, but I for one would pay it. Phil

Congratulations on your project, great work!

Is it possible, on your newest software version, route planning - directions (inside maps.app) with the GPS enabled = continuous refreshing of position? I mean like the way it is done on 3G, on a planned route (from ->to) the blue pin following your movement?
I imagine nothing of the above isn't supported in 1.1.4 version? Update to 2.x is necessary for GPS capability on 1st gen?

Thank you for your time.

Keep on working on this really good piece of software!
I am really locking forward to use the upcoming turn-by-turn navigation feature.
Once it works I will donate some money.

Thanks for the positive comment :-). About the TTF we are experimenting some tricks but it will take some weeks to finalize the firmware.

Hi guys,
this was a great upfate for me. On my iPhone, this release is faster and more stable. TTFF is still slow, but I hope a firmware or software update will fix this issue. Have a nice day

Ok we are still working on the bug for large map download

Concerning the Map rotation, yes it will rotate according to your driving direction but it is not yet done as we still have some problems to solve.

Large downloads till crash the app. I can't seem to get more than 15mbs of maps before it kicks me back to the apple UI.

Are you working on zooming in and out via multi-touch?

The map download bug fix is not working for me. Try to load about ~600 MB but it cancels at about 15 MB.... .

But go on - you are doing a great job here!
