Opening of the sales

The 1st of August is here…

And the sales are now open. We had still a lot of work to do on our web interface used to sell the xGPS modules but you can already place orders on this website:

http://store.xwaves.net/

Videos and more photos will be posted on the above website in two days.

Please note that this blog is used to post progress report on the development of the xGPS module and software. All other information will be on the website above.

People that have placed a pre-order request will receive tomorrow a “gift code” to get a lower price. We thus ask these people to wait for tomorrow to place an order.

Thank you for your interest in the xGPS modules !

Just want to ask , any plan for the option on the serial port baudrate will be available ?

  4. Mathieu says:

We don’t know yet as our product don’t need this option. But it will be in he final release.

Besides the baudrate for the serial port, I also suggest you add in an option to change the refresh rate of the GPS module (this can be done with a PMTK command). Some GPS modules update their position up to 5Hz (5 times per second) which will give you a faster and more accurate placement of the pin on the map.

Actually, the 19200 baudrate is actually to low for a 5Hz refresh rate. in the video on my blog, I set my module to a refresh rate off 3Hz, which is already a lot better than 1Hz.
